I started releasing music under the name Fuji Gateway in February 2023. I grew up in Charlotte, NC taking piano lesson and playing saxophone in school. I started playing guitar around the end of middle school but never really had the discipline or confidence to make much of it. Over time the guitar became a decorative piece and I went to college in Raleigh majoring in Statistics. I ended up dropping out with a semester or two to go, realizing an office job isn’t what I really wanted. With nothing keeping me in Raleigh, I decided to move to Asheville, North Carolina for the beautiful scenery. I got back into playing guitar and dipped my toe into producing. Soon the prospect of being able to put together and shape the sound of full songs became an obsession. Eventually I felt confident enough in my abilities to start putting my projects out into the world. Currently, I’m working on putting together my first full length album. I appreciate your support!
